These NICU Babies Dressed as Gifts Bring So Much Holiday Cheer
You have to see these too-cute-for-words photos of premature infants dressed up as holiday gifts— they’ll make you melt!

The hospital teamed up with the March of Dimes for a project that presented the hospital’s premature infant patients as exactly what they are: precious gifts.

Three volunteer photographers—who also happened to be mothers of babies born prematurely themselves—were on hand to capture the event.
[embed:render:node:58616:left:width_360]It’s no secret that watching your child fight for his life in the NICU can be an incredibly painful thing for any parent to witness. We’re deep in the throes of the holiday season right now, and while this time of year can be the happiest of all, it can also feel especially difficult when you’re going through something tough: That’s why we love this project’s mission so much—It truly seemed to bring so much joy to struggling parents.

So providing these special families with an opportunity to celebrate the holidays in a memorable way allows them a sense of normalcy, and an opportunity to celebrate their babies’ first milestones – even in the hospital – which is what every family wants to do,” a rep from the March of Dimes said in an emailed release.
